When a player is picked up during the season, the player can only be picked up for the remainder of the season. Players are considered under contract for only the remainder of that season, and their salary will not count against you as there is a separate FAAB budget used for in-season free agent pickups.
a. Each team will receive $100 Free Agent Acquisition Budget. Once the $100 has been spent, that team will not be able to make any more moves during the season.
b. Cutting a player will not free up cap space for you to pick up an available player. Only unused FAAB can be used to pick up additional free agents in-season.
When a player is cut, they will be placed on waivers. During this period a highest bid system will be used and the team with the highest bid will win the player.
c. All free agents in-season will be given to the highest bidder after the weekly waiver period has completed. You place your bid and the team that has given the highest bid will win the player. In the event of a tie, the team who is lower in the standings will win that player.
