If you cut/drop a player in-season, you will owe that player 10% of his salary the following season.
1. This will only have an impact on players that are signed for 2-5 years.
2. You take a salary cap hit for the following season ONLY no matter how long your player is signed for.
3. Details of the salary cap hit: 10% rounded to the nearest $1 with a minimum impact of $1. a. Examples: Player signed for 3 years $1/year contract. Salary cap hit will be $1 (minimum impact is $1) Player signed for 2 years $26/year contract. Salary cap hit will be $3 (26 x 10% is 2.6 rounded up is $3) Player signed for 4 years $13/year contract. Salary cap hit will be $1 (13 x 10% is 1.3 rounded is $1)
